Fax - Adding a DID to fax loopback trunk
Note: You can only enable a number as a fax line that will NOT be used for voice. If you do use for voice certain things will not work like DTMF tones.
To Enable or Disable a number as a fax line through ucontrol.thinktel.ca you have to…
1. Open uControl<BR> 2. Click on the blue "Services" Tab, then click "Numbers"<BR> 3. Enter the number in the search or locate in the list of all your numbers.<BR> 4. Click the "Edit" button beside the number you want enabled as fax line<BR> 5. In the Fax Line field, change status to True <BR> 6. Click Save.
Click Management-->Dashboard to return to main screen.
If you do a large volume of faxing, you might want to create a faxing trunk(or if you already have). ThinkTel support can enable the whole trunk as fax, then when any new DID's are added to the trunk they are automatically flagged as fax lines.
